Abstract (Translated): 
This text focuses on the research which was realized in 2010 with the application of a survey on all employees of the Public Policies and Govern Management Specialist - Especialista em Políticas Públicas e Gestão Governamental (EPPGG) - career in the federal public administration, seeking to get explaining hypothesis to the inequality between men and women verified in the occupations of high level Direction and Assessment Positions - Direção e Assessoramento Superior (DAS). Such career, known as 'manager' career, was a good framing to that investigation, because it proportioned to identify probable factors that interfere in the professional choices and opportunities of men and women when they are in homogenous social and economic conditions.
