Abstract:
Marketing has evolved as a relevant scientific discipline in Spain over the last years. This paper tries to highlight what has characterized this development in the last two decades, and what is its current status. To reach this aim, we compare the major research which reviews marketing discipline in our country and we examine the content of the last eight editions of the main conference on marketing held in Spain, the Spanish Marketing Academic Conference. The final objective of this work is to expand the knowledge of marketing research in Spain, analysing aspects such as the degree of concentration/specialization of the papers, the authors of these papers, their evolution over past editions, etc.
