Abstract:
Previous scientific research on social structures has usually been linked to Cocitation and Coauthority study. Moreover, it has not focused on Business Organization Area. This paper uses a type of social relationship within the scientific community - the appointment of the PhD thesis examination Boardin order to identify the social structure of Spanish University Business Organization Area. Data show an association between Area's Phd fellows centrality and the appointment of the presidents, as well as between the appointment of Board members and the social links of thesis directors.
