The study examines a mediated mechanism for enhancing nurses' task performance through the interaction of psychological ownership and innovative work behaviour. Data for the study was conveniently collected using self-reported questionnaires from a sample of 438 respondents and analysed using partial least square-based structural equation modelling . Results showed that psychological ownership of nurses improves their' innovative work behaviour and task performance. Besides, innovative work behaviour was found to positively predict nurses' task performance and further mediates the effect of psychological ownership on task performance. Health-care managers can capitalize on psychological ownership competencies of nurses to enhance their innovative work behaviour and performance.
