Abstract: 
During these last two decades, the quality management systems (QMS) have been the area within organizational management that has received the greatest number of empirical investigations and theoretical contributions in this scientific area, either in Europe or the USA. This article provides an in-depth account of the state of academic research in Spain related to quality management and improvement over the last decade. To this end, a body of work published on Quality Control was analysed.
