Zusammenfassung:
In this paper, it will be argued that, when current developments in transport systems will continue, they never will become sustainable. An important reason is the priority of economic growth and the support of positive externalities related to properly functioning transport systems, while there is a tendency to neglect negative externalities as they often have no direct measurable impact and may reduce short term economic growth.
