Abstract (Translated):
This work identifies the main characteristics of trade flows between Colombia and Venezuela with MERCOSUR, with specific discussion of trade with Brazil. It aims at providing a broad view of such trade flows, as well as presenting some descriptive indicators of such trade relationship. A special treatment is adopted for specific products, namely oil and oil products, which have specific market conditions and are, at the same time, quite important among the exports of both Colombia and Venezuela. The analysis initially focuses, therefore, on all the traded goods but is followed by a separate appraisal of non-oil exports.
