Zusammenfassung (übersetzt):
The purpose of this research is to examine the international insertion of Brazilian banking system, in comparison with the South Korean and Mexican experiences. Since the second half of the 1990s, these countries deepened the financial integration between their economies and international markets, both through the attraction of expressive flows of FDI by removing restrictions for foreign banking institutions and through the expansion overseas those country's banks. The text also discusses the implications of and perspectives for the internationalization of the banking system, with emphasis on Brazil.
