Abstract: 
The basic objectives of this article are presenting the current financial system of Angola, taking into account the points of view Institutional and Monetary Policy; an analysis of internal and external competitive environment of the financial system by applying the Angolan DAFO or SWOT Matrix, with the aim of formulate concrete strategies, in a chart or a summary table, assessing the strengths and weaknesses of the financial system studied, with external threats and opportunities consistent with the logic that the strategy must achieve a proper adjustment between the internal capacity and the external competitive position. It concludes by presenting some recommendations for future strategies.
