Abstract: 
The aim of this paper is to know the human resources practices that support knowledge management processes. To do this, we use the multiple case study method as a strategy of research, analysing in depth six excellent and pro-active Spanish companies in knowledge matters. We answer five research questions through the analysis and the results lead us to a set of propositions about human capital invest, stimulation and development, as well as knowing the characteristics of manager function in intelligent organizations.
