Abstract (Translated):
The purpose of this paper is to analyze and interpret current economic and financial crisis and its similarities to the crisis that occurred in the twentieth century, marking its causes and consequences. For this study we consider the series of product and growth rates U.S. and UK as they have reliable historical data. We use the methodology of structural models to state space time series analysis, to detect falls and growth and outliers throughout the century. Furthermore, we also perform some simple regressions to determine whether the development of the economy in both countries was or is related.
