Abstract (Translated):
At least 80 % of the companies dedicated to footwear manufacturing do not innovate in Colombia, which results in their exit from the market. The objective of the research is to estimate the determining factors of this. Two time periods were analyzed, (2017-2018) and (2019-2020). For the above, an Ordered Logit model was used that categorizes innovative performance in non-innovative and innovative companies. A base was taken with 238 companies for period 1 and 198 for period 2 and three categories of determinants were used, innovative effort, schooling and support networks that are positively related to innovation.
