Abstract (Translated):
Most analyses of the economic relationship between two countries focus on bilateral trade relations and resource flows. The approach here is different, in that it aims to identify the relative weight of selected partners and their capacity to influence the productive structure in Brazil. Two moments are considered, before and after the covid-19 pandemic. Results show that the relative importance of the BRICS has increased not only on the bilateral merchandise flows, but also in the provision of production goods to several productive sectors in Brazil.
