Abstract:
This paper details my use of the pitching template framework (Faff, 2015) in the development of the research agenda for my PhD at the University of Queensland (UQ) Business School. I used the pitching template once for the research proposal submitted when applying for the PhD program and twice more during the early months of the program. Use of the pitching template framework appears to have helped progress my thinking about and communication of my research agenda. This is as anecdotal evidence of the pitching template's benefits for researchers.
