Abstract:
E-commerce is definitely on a growth course. Stationary brick-and- mortar trade will not completely disappear, but it will change drastically under the influence of new technologies. It therefore makes sense to consider physical shops not exclusively as sales areas. Rather, the question should be which tasks can only be executed in real shops and which e-commerce techniques can be transferred to the physical world. This article examines the current developments in Switzerland and gives recommendations on how to adapt.
