Abstract:
In renewable power generation, solar photovoltaic as clean and green energy technology plays a vital role to fulfill the power shortage of any country. Modeling, simulation and analysis of solar photovoltaic (PV) generator is a vital phase prior to mount PV system at any location, which helps to understand the behavior and characteristics in real climatic conditions of that location. In this context, a single diode equivalent circuit model with the stepwise detailed simulation of a solar PV module under Matlab/Simulink ambience is presented. I-V and P-V graph of solar PV module provide a broad understanding to researchers, manufacturers and social communities. The simulated result of the PV module is verified by the manufacturer data-sheet of JAP6-72-320/4BB module and maximum relative error percentage is found 1.65% which shows a good agreement between manufacturer values and simulated values. Moreover, the performance of PV module for real metrological data (irradiance and temperature) shows good results. In addition to this, it is presumed as a sturdy tool to evaluate the performance of any solar PV modules.
