Zusammenfassung (übersetzt):
Aim of the Entrepreneurship 2020 Action plan was to strengthen entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurial spirit in Europe. Women belong to the underrepresented groups owning or founding own businesses and therefore offer unused economic potential. For this reason, women's entrepreneurship research is once again more in focus. Especially in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) the entrepreneur has a decisive influence on the success of the company. As a previous study showed, there are significant differences between the personality traits and self-regulation competencies of women entrepreneurs leading fast-growing companies (+72.8 % growth in turnover or number of employees within three years), not fast-growing companies and non-entrepreneurs. Looking to the future of Germany the question arises whether the personality characteristics and self-regulation skills of the female Generation Z as young generation support the goals of the EU and are already matching the profile of successful female entrepreneurs or still need to be developed.
