Abstract:
Abstract (Translated):
A requirement determination methodology for designing a management information system for a professional research organization. Information as a strategic resource becomes increasingly more important for professionally managed organizations. The research was done in an organization where scientific management was seen as the main objective of the organization. As a result, the management information system had to be improved and developed in order to accommodate the different levels of management and to provide accurate and timely decision-making assisted information. A conceptual model was developed to assist the developers in improving the MIS in order to ensure that the correct information would reach the different levels of management, as well as to provide in the needs of external information users. Four levels of users were taken into account according to the pyramidial structure, as well as external and internal information needs for the successful implementation of the MIS.
