| en |

dc.description.abstracttrans | In the course of European integration national states have lost regulative competence to European authorities. Consequently, regional factors have gained in importance for economic development. The location of firms and persons depends more and more on regional factors rather than national differences. The increased importance of regional factors requires a corresponding increase in the legislative and administrative power of regional authorities. However, regional authorities in Europe have not been strengthened substantially in recent years. The power of national authorities is still great and there is still a long way to go to a ?Europe of Regions?. | en |
