Abstract: 
Dieser Artikel argumentiert, dass Finanzmarktspekulationen mit Agrarrohstoffen volkswirtschaftlich sinnvoll und moralisch erwünscht sind. Sie rigide einschränken oder gar verbieten zu wollen, wie es von Seiten zahlreicher zivilgesellschaftlicher Organisationen derzeit gefordert wird, würde das moralische Anliegen torpedieren, die globale Nahrungsmittelversorgung zu verbessern.
Abstract (Translated): 
This article argues that financial market speculation with agricultural commodities is both valuable from an economic point of view as well as desirable from a moral point of view. Many civil society organizations advocate to reduce or even to prohibit such speculation. However, this would be detrimental to the moral goal of improving the global food supply.
