Abstract: 
The development of metropolises in many newly industrializing countries follow the new patterns created first by migration, and then, globalization. The dynamic transformation in developmental processes result in industrial decentralization and qualitative change in labor. This paper focuses on the new structures that emerged through this process in Istanbul metropolitan area.
