Title: Strengthening Resilience of Supply with Essential Goods through Public-Private Emergency Collaborations: Challenges and Incentives
Authors: Lüttenberg, Markus
Abstract: Companies can be valuable partners in delivering essential goods but must be appropriately motivated to participate in humanitarian crisis management. This work provides valuable insights into the status of humanitarian crisis management from the perspective of different stakeholders. It shows the potential of collaborative approaches, addressing the strengths and incentives of stakeholders accordingly.

Title: Modellbasierte Entscheidungsunterstützung für Vertraulichkeit und Datenschutz in Geschäftsprozessen
Authors: Alpers, Sascha
Abstract: Information Confidentiality and Data Protection Networks (ICPN) support process modelers and process managers in not only taking a purely technical view of data protection and confidentiality, but also in taking it into account at an early stage in the design of business processes. The Petri-net extension ICN published in the book makes it possible to systematically consider confidentiality and data protection aspects within business process models.

Sustainability of the German pension scheme: Employment at higher ages and incentives for delayed retirement

Title: Sustainability of the German pension scheme: Employment at higher ages and incentives for delayed retirement
Authors: Lewicki, Maria Patricia
Abstract: The aging society and threatening old-age poverty are two major political topics in Germany for the next decades. Many modern employment biographies consist of atypical employment and discontinuities; both negatively impact the pension entitlements of the individuals. This work develops an inninnovative approach that offers flexibility to absorb demographic changes as well as labor market developments, without threatening the financial stability of the public pension scheme.

Incentives and two-sided matching: Engineering coordination mechanisms for social clouds

Title: Incentives and two-sided matching: Engineering coordination mechanisms for social clouds
Authors: Haas, Christian
Abstract: The Social Cloud framework leverages existing relationships between members of a social network for the exchange of resources. This thesis focuses on the design of coordination mechanisms to address two challenges in this scenario. In the first part, user participation incentives are studied. In the second part, heuristics for two-sided matching-based resource allocation are designed and evaluated.
