Abstract:
Abstract (Translated):
Which political value has spatial planning regarding its control and solution capacity attributed to it by politics? Which achievements have been made so far concerning higher planning education in accordance to the Bologna process? Which professional requirements and which job market chances are confronting spatial planning graduates? Through these questions, the present ARL Working Material addresses the huge challenges with which spatial planning as public task on the one hand and as university education on the other is confronted. The authors outline approaches for a sustainable spatial planning and state recommendations for the improvement in spatial planning education, based on interviews with politicians and experts from the practical planning as well as from the scientific community.
