Title:Reducing emissions from deforestation and degradation (REDD): An Overview of Risks And Opportunities For The Poor PDF Logo
Authors:Flunder, Mikkel
Issue Date:2009
Series/Report no.:DIIS Reports / Danish Institute for International Studies 2009:21
Abstract:This report provides an overview of the risks and opportunities associated with REDD for the rural poor in developing countries, with a particular emphasis on the practical forestry options under REDD in LDCs. The Report summarizes and discusses the existing available literature on the subject, and has benefited from the inputs from a variety of resource persons in Denmark and abroad. The current pace and extent of the debate on REDD means that the various issues discussed here are under continuous development, and the Report should therefore be seen as providing a general overview rather than a detailed discussion of all the issues.
