| Title: | | The G20 and beyond: Towards effective global economic governance |
| Authors: | | Vestergaard, Jakob |
| Issue Date: | | 2011 |
| Series/Report no.: | | DIIS Reports / Danish Institute for International Studies 2011:04 |
| Abstract: | | The report outlines the history of the G20 and reviews its membership in terms of the key patterns of inclusion and exclusion. The author argues the G20 has been largely ineffective in addressing the main global economic governance challenges and considers two approaches for reforming it. The report then suggests effective global economic governance requires moving beyond the G20 framework and proposes reshaping the Bretton Woods system. |
